The Lakers’ newest star steps up to support restoration of iconic mural honoring a team legend.
On Tuesday, Luka Dončić donated $5,000 to help restore a vandalized mural of Kobe and Gianna Bryant in downtown LA.
At the corner of 14th and Main streets, a mural captures a tender moment of Kobe Bryant embracing and kissing his daughter, Gianna, who clutches a basketball.
The mural honoring the Hall of Famer and five-time NBA champion, along with his daughter, was defaced with black and white paint.
Luka Dončić’s name showed up on the mural restoration GoFundMe donor list Tuesday, with his foundation later confirming the contribution.
Authorities have yet to name any suspects in connection with the mural’s vandalism.
