Two men were shot near Exposition Park on Monday afternoon, the LAPD reported.
The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. near Exposition Boulevard and Western Avenue. A man believed to be between 30 and 40 years old died at the scene, while another man in his 20s was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The two men were found suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police are searching for a suspect described as wearing black pants and a black hoodie, last seen heading north on Western Avenue.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
